Excellent opportunity for an Anesthesiologist Assistant

to join our well-established group practice located in Indiana

MEDNAX is seeking an anesthesiologist assistant to join a well-established group located in Indiana.  The group, which is part of our Joliet, IL practice, provides anesthesia services at Methodist Hospital Southlake in Merrillville, IN, and Methodist Hospital Northlake in Gary, which is a Level-III trauma center. We also provide services to two ambulatory surgical centers and one endoscopy center. 

 

  • In addition to 9 physicians who are located 24/7 in-house, there are 11 CRNAs as well as anesthesiology assistants, all of whom work in a care team model and rotate through each facility
  • Variety of cases include: cardiac, healthy peds, OB/GYN, thoracic, vascular and general anesthesia cases. 
  • Anesthesiologist assistants do all cases including, epidurals, spinals and central lines
  • Position will require 8 hour shifts from M-F during the first 6-12 months with potential to transition to 4-10s
  • In addition to competitive salary, there is ample opportunity to work extra for additional compensation

The Department of Anesthesia at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking full-time Anesthetists to practice at Eskenazi Hospital. Successful candidates must be highly motivated, and will enjoy working closely with faculty/instructors and learners. The Anesthetist will work under the supervision of a physician Anesthesiologist and will administer anesthesia and anesthesia related care in accordance with a written practice protocol consistent with the American Society of Anesthesiologists Care Team Model.  This position will also serve as a faculty member of the IU School of Medicine at the level of lecturer and will host learners in obtaining clinical knowledge and experience. Mednax is seeking Anesthesia Assistants to join our group practice in Gary and Merrilleville IN, at Methodist Hospital Northlake and Methodist Hospital Southlake. Responsibilities include, under the direction of licensed anesthesiologists, implementation of anesthesia care plans, obtain preliminary pre-anesthetic health histories, perform patient physical examinations , draw blood samples, and assist in inducing, altering, and maintaining anesthesia as well as continuity of care during post-operative recovery period. We practice in a care team model and offer a variety of cases. Graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Assistant program and Indiana licensure required.
