ACLS
At the conclusion of the presentation, the learner should be able to:
- Utilize advanced airway management techniques.
- Recognize shockable and non-shockable cardiac rhythms.
- Properly administer emergency medications.
- Properly apply AHA algorithms.
- Actively lead or properly participate in emergency medical codes.
BLS
At the conclusion of the presentation, the learner should be able to:
- Recognize a Sudden Cardiac Arrest event and respond appropriately for adults, children and infants.
- Perform high quality CPR.
- Operate an AED (automatic external defibrillator) as a lone rescuer and in a group.
- Identify and manage the choking individual.
PALS
At the conclusion of the presentation, the learner should be able to:
- Identify, evaluate, and intervene in Pediatric Emergency events.
- Perform the AHA method of initial impression, primary assessment, secondary assessment, and tertiary testing.
- Identify methods of early recognition of critical medical situations and rapid intervention for the pediatric patient.
