CME Frequently Asked Questions

How many CME credits can I claim?
The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) designates the 2021 AAAA Virtual Conference for a maximum of 23 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. You can claim 20 credits for attending the Virtual Meeting live or on-demand, and an additional three for completing ACLS, BLS, and/or PALS courses. You should only claim credits that reflect your participation.
What is the process for claiming CME credits?
You should receive an email from ASA to the email you used to register for the conference. Follow the directions in that email to complete the evaluation, claim credit, and print a certificate. The date on the certificate reflects the date you claimed your credits. You can only claim your certificate once, so be sure to claim within the right time period. Contact us if you haven't received the email.
Do I have to be an ASA member to claim credits?
Conference attendees don't need a current ASA membership to claim credits. You do need to be enrolled in the course on the ASA website and will need a username and password to access the ASA’s portal. We provide ASA with a conference registration list on an ongoing basis in order to enroll attendees in the course.
What is the deadline to claim credits?
You can claim credits any time between now and December 31, 2021. The date on your certificate is the date you claim credits. You can only claim credits once.
If an attendee registers after the meeting concludes, how soon are they eligible to claim credits?
We provide the ASA with a registration list of new conference registrants each week. New attendees are typically enrolled and eligible to claim credits within 7-10 business days.
Whom do I contact for help with CME credits?
Please reach out to AAAA Meetings Manager Amy Motyka or ASA Joint Providership Meetings for assistance claiming credits.
